OU phone booth
I visited the University of Oklahoma campus last week. It's a very beautiful campus, scattered with sculptures and trees, and oddly enough, red phone booths. When was the last time you saw a phone booth?
Since I work in a university, I see public pay phones everyday. But they're not really booths, and nowhere as pretty as these red ones! _____ Please vote for the March theme, if you haven't yet. And please help spread the word too! :)
Hi I see this type quite often, but then I live in England. But you are right, I saw someone using one a few weeks back and wondered.. I have not used one in years. Yesterday I saw a dalek, there is a red original one here in a museum. A few years ago I was in a storage room there in semi darkness after hours and bumped into it, wow it took me back to my childhood cowering behind the sofa with my sister.
That is so strange for me to see something I pass every day and think of as an iconic British Item In Oklahoma. It's still used aswell cash and cards. I do live on an island though.
I thought British, too!! And Dr. Who fans!!! My people... I thought it was odd that they took the phones out but left the booths in the off campus sites. They are quite eye catching.
